1 - COORDINATION

(By teachers and students in Lycée Ravel )

A little workshop was implemented on the 6th of May 2025, in order to begin the final writung of the documentary film the Be.Bo.P  partners must do in the framework of the workpackage named "DANS TOUT LE ROYAUME"

2 - PRINCIPLES

(Rules regarding this blog and the remote activities offered to learners / Objectives to be achieved before the C5 mobility and overall schedule)

Posts in the blog (left column) are published to report on the progress of the TERMINIS MUNDI project (this term is not, a priori, the title of the future film but it designates the preliminary writing work and planning of the shooting to be implemented between now and the mobility made in Italy). These posts will indicate to what extent the progress of the consultation respects the planned schedule and achieves the predefined objectives. These will therefore essentially be publications edited "on the fly" and in particular each time a progress report is made (according to the deadlines set in advance) and a final assessment, which could be drawn up in November 2025. Articles will be produced by the international coordinator (specifically, the project manager and the French team) in order to allow an evaluation of the quality and density of exchanges to support the drafting of the final report and the survey made by the Erasmus+ Agency on the conformity of the work produced in relation to the commitments made upstream.

The content in the right column is visible in web format and is therefore hidden on a phone in the "normal" display format: you need to click on the appropriate option at the bottom to correct this problem.

1. The Terminis Mundi page will reflect the discussions between students and will be formatted by the Mathilda+Elena team. Please note that several students and teachers will have editor status (a Gmail address is required to obtain this), but their posts will only be visible after validation by the moderator. This procedure does not censor suggestions, but rather ensures the readability of the blog and prevents any misuse (for example, accidental deletion of data). This page should allow for the recording of any informal conversations that may take place, particularly through various social networks (participants can also exchange ideas through the private NBE+ group on Facebook).

2. On the RUSHES page, the video extracts (complete or not) already produced by the partners and which we propose to reuse in the film will be listed, with the timing specified.

3. MISSING SCENES is the page where the filming required to complete the reused rushes to construct the entire film will be indicated (and detailed). Specifically, these filming sessions may take place locally, between now and October 15th (each school will be responsible for producing a few scenes) or will be scheduled for joint production in Rome during C5.

4. FILMING in ROME will report on these filming sessions during/after C5.

5. A page dedicated to editing (shared responsibility between the director pair and the teachers, including the project manager and all the designated production coordinators for WP4) will be added after November 2025.

ROMAN EMPIRE 4

TRIPS AND DREAMS 2

"Syria Refugees" pitch - an imaginative TCA in Montijo

Main characters

Lucas: tall, brown hair, brown eyes, single father, 35 years old, caring, kind, hardworking, poor.

Emma: 10 years old, brown hair like her father, green eyes like her mother, wavy hair, smart, sweet, shy, quiet..

Lucy: their dog, little, white, young, bichon frise (french breed), sweet, cute, cuddly.

Idea of Main story:

Lucas, Emma, and Anna, a Syrian family, lived happily with their dog, Lucy. One evening, during dinner, a siren alerted them the start of a new war, and bombs began falling. They quickly packed their belongings, with Emma grabbing Lucy, while Anna rushed back to the house for her final items. Just as Anna was inside, their house was destroyed by a bomb, leaving Emma terrified for her mother's  life.

Afterward, Emma and Lucas fled to other countries in search of safety and better living conditions, traveling through Turkey, Romania, Italy  and France, eventually settling in Lisbon, Portugal. Lucas worked hard to provide for Emma, trying his best to give her a good life in their new home.

End ideas: In the end, Emma and Lucas travel to Latvia on a winter vacation, and end up finding out that Anna, Emma´s mother and Lucas's wife, has been alive all long.

"Trips and dreams" pitch - an imaginative TCA in Montijo

Main characters: Xavier (grandfather), Marco and Giulia (siblings and Xavier's grandchildren)

Time period: nowadays/present

Idea of Main story: This story is centered around relatishionships, especially one between grandfather and grandhildren and all the emotion that comes with it.

We find our 2 main characters, Giulia and Marco, both in the final year of high school.

The two teenagers always had a special bond with their grandfather, Xavier. The old man always wished to travel the world, meet new people and discover new things. Marco and Giulia had a feeling that their grandfather was an «incomplete man» because he never got to experience those things. It was a different time and the possibility of travelling abroad was limited. Everyday Xavier would tell them about all the cool places that he never got the chance to visit, always with a sad look on his face. The documentary/story would be about their will to full fill the dreams that their grandfather transfered to them. In the end, Xavier is "a complete man", as both of them got to experience all of it for him.

"THE ANTI-BOUNDARIES ROUTES" pitch - an imaginative TCA in Montijo

INTRODUCTION:

Nowadays, European countries, despite their political borders, are deeply interconnected through global trade.  Through policy's like the single market, which allows fpr the free movement of goods, services, capital and people, the EU has created a welcoming environment where business can freely trade across all Europe.

All these commerce helps to promote the sense of union between all the European countries and that´s why  we consider the commerce and trades as an agent of union and boundarie breaking.

FIRST SCENE:

In a continent that has been once divided by wars and political boundaries, a new kind of unity emerged. One has been biult on commerce, cooperation and shared prosperity.

ACT 1:

We meet Ana, a portuguese textile producer living in Montijo, and Lucas, a romanian automotive parts manufacturer living in Cluj, both running family businesses.

Ana reflects on her grandfather’s stories, about  how tariffs and border checks made it nearly impossible to sell their high-quality fabrics beyond Portugal. Meanwhile, Lucas talks about his father’s struggles after World War II, rebuilding a factory in a country isolated from its neighbors.

The narrator explains:

“For centuries, Europe’s nations were competitors, divided by borders, taxes, and bitter history. Trade was slow, expensive, and restricted.”

(Historical footage rolls soldiers guarding borders, endless lines of trucks waiting for customs clearance, and currencies being exchanged)

Act 2:

(The screen shifts to 1957: the Treaty of Rome is signed. The narrator introduces Jean Monnet and Robert Schuman, visionaries who dreamed of economic unity to prevent future wars).

“By linking their economies, European nations wouldn’t just share profits, but they’d share a future.”

We see Ana’s father’s shop growing as Portugal, Romania, Italy, and others begin trading more freely under the European Economic Community (EEC).

Lukas’s factory flourishes too, as tariffs drop, and German cars integrate French textiles into their interiors.

Act 3:

Fast-forward to 1993 — the birth of the EU Single Market. Anna and Lukas, now running their family businesses, meet at a trade fair in Brussels.

Ana excitedly describes how her fabrics now ship to Spain, Poland, and beyond without extra costs or delays. Lucas, inspired, shares how his company expanded by sourcing Italian leather and exporting his car parts across the continent.

The documentary cuts to modern-day scenes of seamless logistics — trucks crossing borders unchecked, cargo trains speeding through tunnels between countries, and young people studying abroad under the Erasmus program.

“The Single Market didn’t just open trade routes — it opened minds. The freedom of movement let goods, services, money, and people flow like never before.”

We meet Elena, a french student studying business in Amsterdam, and Mateo, a Polish entrepreneur opening a café in Paris. Both credit the EU for giving them opportunities their parents never had.

Act 4:

(The screen shows the launch of the Euro in 1999. Anna and Lukas, now older, reflect on how adopting the same currency made trade easier and boosted tourism.)

“One currency, nineteen nations — a powerful symbol of unity,” says the narrator.

*Closing Scene:

The final shots show students, workers, and entrepreneurs moving freely across Europe. Cargo trucks speed along open highways. Wind turbines spin near old border posts, now abandoned.

The screen fades to black with a final quote from Jean Monnet:

“We are not bringing together states, we are uniting people.”
