"Rome, Mare Nostrum" pitch - an imaginative TCA in Montijo

Group: Beatriz, Duarte, Elena, Justin, Luca, Matilda.

The journey starts in Rome. We are following the ghost of a roman soldier/traveler who visits the rest of the roman empire all around the countries of the project on today.

All the countries will show their roman remains, monuments, museums, traditions, gastronomy, etc....

The figure of the ghost will appear as some sort of a time traveler, discovering the new boarders and cultures, the ways we value the Roman influence or not, while comparing with what he knew and thus telling history.

The boarders will of course have a special place: the comparison between the old and the new boarders - theirs definitions even - will be a way to show how people and limits moved trough history, and keep moving.

It will also be a way to value cultural exchanges and legacies in Europe.

Mains questions:

How did the Roman Empire organized its space and boarders?

What was the definition of a boarder in ancient Rome?

What was the interactions between roman citizens and foreigners inside the Empire?

What are the legacies, physical and mental, from ancient Rome?

What is our view toward the antic history of Europe?

What are the boarders today?

End ideas:

Once the ghost discovered all the modern world, he rebirths, and start a new life?

"Life lesson": Each generation, each period has its problems, its wealth, and they keep moving, evolving?

The ghost meets others; he realizes every single soul has a story to tell, different perspectives, even in the same
